Timothy Johnson

About me and my Experience

Tim is a Composer, Producer & Orchestrator specialising in music to picture. Based in London, he has had the opportunity to work as Musical Director with many fantastic Directors and Animators, advising on and creating the entire films music and (in some cases) sound design.

Tim’s current portfolio ranges from small banking adverts for ING Insurance to full length feature films. One such film premiered at the prestigious BAFTA in Piccadilly Circus.

An avid guitar player from the age of nine, Tim was inspired to write his own music from a young age. He developed his skills through the studying music at college and then later Commercial Music Composition & Technology (BSc) at Degree level. This focused (albeit not exclusively) on the past century of music, with specific focus on all aspects of audio to picture. His hard work rewarded him with a First Class Honours Degree and his first professional job at One Dead Pixel (Digital Animation Company).

A year later Tim was accepted into the prestigious Royal College of Music where he is currently studying a Masters in Composition to Screen whilst continuing to work as a professional Composer.
