Is Media Volt a casting company or agency?

Media Volt is NOT a casting company or agency. We do not take any commission from work you find on this site. All jobs are posted by employers, and you apply directly to them.

 

Your Media Volt account and subscriptions

  • How do I edit my profile information?

To Edit your profile click on ‘My Profile’

 

  • How do I add / remove pictures?

To a add pictures, go to ‘My Profile’. You will be able to upload one picture with a basic membership and up to five of your best pictures if you are a full member. To upload a picture(s) click ‘choose file’ in the photo section. When you have chosen a picture from your devise click the upload button. You will then see your chosen picture.

 

  • How do I add audio?

To upload an audio file, go to ‘My Profile’ and click on the MP3 upload link. You will then need to browse your computer to find your desired audio file. The audio file MUST be MP3 format. To upload a new one, follow the same procedure, this will override the current audio file. Remember to click ‘upload’ at the button.

 

  • How do I add Video?

Your video must first be on youtube or Vimeo. To upload a video, go to ‘My Profile’ then copy the paste the video URL (i.e. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4RuAIg0ju0) into the box. Remember to click ‘save’ at the bottom of the page.

 

  • How do I add/remove people to MY Network?

To add someone to your network, view their profile, then click the link add to my network. Before you can have someone on your network the other person must first approve you. To see your list of people in your network, click on the home page dashboard and click ‘My Network’. At the bottom of this page, you will find your people in your network. To remove someone from your network , click on their profile. You will then see the option to remove from network.

 

  • How do I message other members?

To message other members, you must first be in added to each others network and be over 16.

 

  • How do I change my password?

To change your password, go to ‘My Profile’ at the bottom of the page, you  can enter a new password. Remember to click ‘save’ at the bottom of the page.

 

  • How do I hide or remove my profile?

You can hide your profile by clicking the ‘hide profile’ icon in your ‘My Profile’ profile setting. If your profile is in hide mode members or employers will be unable to find you on the directory. To completely removal your profile, please contact us, using the help form.

 

  • My profile information did not save

When you enter information, remember to press  save and the bottom of the page. When you do this, at the top of the page it should say “You details have been updated”. It may ask you to enter your password again, so make sure read the message after you have clicked save. If you navigate away from the page you details may not save. If this does not work, you may need to press F5 on your computer to clear any memory. If your details are still not saving please contact us and we will look into this.

 

  • Members under 16 years of age

Members under 16 can register to use Media Volt, We recommend that parent / guardians manage theses profiles. To register a under 16 accounts, click on the U16s tab.

 

Under 16 members must leave their parent / guardians contact details when prompted

 

Under 16 members cannot use the internal messaging systems or network pages.

 

  • How do I post a comment or start a networking topic?

To post a comment click on either the ‘Community’ or ‘Discussion’ tab. You can reply to any post if you are logged in.

 

To start a new networking topic, click on the ‘community’ tab. Enter your new topic on the right-hand side, then click submit. We will review it then publish within a few minutes

 

Topics will be deleted by Media Volt after a set time period.

  • How much does it cost?

It’s FREE to register a profile and be contacted my potential employers. To apply for some jobs and post events free, you must upgrade your membership. There are a number of options. You can pay monthly (£9.99), every 6 months (£49.99) or yearly (£94.99).

 

  • How do I cancel my paid membership?
To cancel your paid membership, you will need to log into your Paypal account. Follow the steps below.
  1. Login to your Paypal account
  2. Click ‘My Profile’
  3. Click  ‘My Money’
  4. Then click the ‘Update’ button on ‘My pre-approved payments’
  5. Click ‘Media Volt’
  6. Then click the ‘Cancel button’

PLEASE NOTE: We advise that when you are canceling your subscription that you do so a day before payment is due to come out of your account, as your profile will instantly  revert back to basic membership when you cancel.

Posting and applying for jobs, castings and auditions

  • How do I post jobs?

It’s totally 100% free to post a job. Click on the post job tab and fill in all the required fields. You job post will go live when it has been reviewed by Media Volt.

 

  • How do apply for jobs?

To apply for jobs, you must be a full member. Click the apply icon in the job you are reviewing. This icon will only appear if you are a full member.

Events guide

  • How do I post a new event?

It’s Free to post a standard event listing if you are a full member. If you wish to post a new event, click the ‘Events’ tab. Then click post new event. Fill in all the required information and then submit. You will then be taken to the payment section.
